This program was designed and developed by the A.Webdriver Corp.
(Hereafter referred to as Webdriver)
The program may be downloaded and used for FREE. In using
the program, you accept and agree to all the terms and
conditions contained herein.
The program may be used only for legal and non-offensive
purposes.
The Webdriver promotional banner shall remain under
the ownership and control of Webdriver and shall not be
tampered with or removed without Webdriver's written consent.
To use our FREE program, you hereby agree as follows:
LIMITED WARRANTIES
Except as herein provided, Webdriver makes no representations
or warranties whatsoever and EXPRESSLY EXCLUDES ALL
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF

Under no circumstances shall Webdriver’s liability
hereunder for damages or liability incurred by customer
or others exceed the amount paid by the customer for the
particular programs involved, (or for one month’s
hosting fee - if applicable) whether or not such damages
are caused by Webdriver or others.
5 INSTALLATION - HOSTING
The program can be hosted by any knowledgable Internet
Service Provider (ISP) on an NT server with Cold Fusion
Your Internet Service Provider should:
Create 2 Cold Fusion DATASOURCES for Access Database
a-inventory pointing to a-inventory.mdb and
a-SalesLog pointing to a-salesLog.mdb
Set up NT password protection for sub-directory "DownloadLog"
(Select a preferred USERNAME and PASSWORD for the NT access.)
SET "Maintain DB connection = NO"
In Cold Fusion administrator/database option ODBC/ CF settings/
To benefit from ALL our program's features,
the CFFILE tag should NOT be disabled.
Index.CFM should be recognized as a default file by server.
6 INSTALLATION - SETUP
After DOWNLOADING our program and UNZIPPING it, notice:
There are 2 DATABASE files with extension .mdb
There are 9 PROGRAM files with extensions .txt
There is 1 PROGRAM file with extensions .dbm
The remaining PROGRAM files have extensions .cfm or .gif
The 2 database files are placed in a secure directory
location determined by your hosting company.
All the PROGRAM files belong in the home directory.
In the home directory create 2 subdirectories: One named
PHOTOS and the other named DOWNLOADLOG (place NO files
into the DOWNLOAD directory - its for system use only).
a-news.htm, a-defaultfull.gif and a-defaultthumbnail.gif
belong in the PHOTO subdirectory. We have placed other photo
files like pic00045.gif. Those are just to get you started
We've also placed some data in the database file to get you
started. This way, as soon as you install the program, you
can get a feel for how it works. Then you can erase the
entries you don't need, and the pic0045.gif etc. which you
also will not need. Never delete the a-defaultfull.gif and
a-defaultthumbnail.gif files, they provide default graphics
when you don't supply any. (You may substitute them with
other graphics of the same dimensions.)
7 INSTALLATION - PROGRAM FILES
The PROGRAM FILES a1-settings.txt through a8-settings.txt and
a9-cyberbucks.dbm should be opened with an editor like NOTEPAD.
Some of these files contain SETTINGS that may need to be
customized. Open each of them; they are self explanatory.
8 INSTALLATION - DATABASE FILES
The database files were created using Access for Windows 95
Version 7.0. and can be opened with Access Version 7.0 or higher.
The a-salesLog.mdb SHOULD NOT be modified. It is for system use.
The a-inventory.mdb contains the following TABLES.
TABLE: Users
FIELDS: LoginName, Password, AssignedTo, TopSecurityClearance
We made a sample entry: LoginName = Joe, Password = 1000,
AssignedTo = Joe Smith and TopSecurityClearance = "NO"
-- PLEASE replace the LoginName and Password with your own
choices.
This will be your Login and Password to enter the BACK DOOR
of your website to perform administrative functions.
TopSecurityClearance should be set to "YES" only for the
personnel that may have access to view credit card numbers.
TABLE: StateTaxAndShipping
FIELDS: State, TaxRate, ShippingCostFixed, ShippingCostVariable
As an example, we set up ALABAMA for a SALES TAX rate of 8.25%
and a FIXED SHIPPING COST of $4.00 for the first item AND
VARIABLE SHIPPING COST of $ .75 for each additional item.
Use the example to set up your tax and shipping charges.
(It is only and example. We don't know if ALABAMA charges tax)
TABLE: CountryTaxAndShipping
FIELDS: Country, TaxRate, ShippingCostFixed,
ShippingCostVariable
It follows the same principle as the StateTaxAndShipping.
Countries generally do not have a tax, but should a Country
introduce a tariff, this program will handle it.
Be sure to ENTER THE SHIPPING charges.
If you wish to ADD a new country, it is OK to place it at the
end of the list. Our program sorts them Alphabetically.
CAUTION: DO NOT MODIFY the country "US" to read "USA" or
"UNITED STATES", etc., or the program will NOT function
properly.

Keyword
The search button searches every field, including
the Keyword field. If you wish to designate
certain items as being "Bargains", put the word
Bargains in the Keyword field. It will be found
during a search. If the word "Bargain" appears
in any other field, that item will also be found.
You may enter more that one Keyword, seperated by
a space. EXAMPLE "Bargain Best Seller Romance"
PictureFull (OPTIONAL)
The FILE NAME of the LARGE product photo.
EXAMPLE: TV21inch.gif book53.jpg
If you do not supply a file name, the default
photo/a-defaultfull.gif is automatically used
PictureThumbnail (OPTIONAL)
The FILE NAME of the SMALL product photo
to be used as thumbnail.
If you do not supply a file name, the default
photo/a-defaultthumbnail.gif is automatically used.
You may designate your LARGE photo as your
thumbnail too, but that will slow the download time
of the site considerably.

prepare photos, and a suggestion on how to name them.
A USER GUIDE - BACK DOOR
- READ THIS -
All the ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS are accessed through the
MENU. You access the menu via the BACK DOOR.
Look at our sample website http://webdriver.com/go/wm/
(or your own once it's running), you will notice at the bottom
of the HOME PAGE, to the right of the copyright, there is a
square purple button. CLICK ON IT. (That is the back door to
the MENU!)
To continue, you need to enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD.
(Remember, you set those up in the DATABASE: a-inventory.mdb
in the TABLE: Users).
The following sections discuss the various Administrative
options available to you in the MENU. You can control those
aspects directly from the web.
B USER GUIDE - ADD, UPLOAD PHOTO or FILE, EDIT, DELETE
ADD NEW LISTING - Besides creating your inventory directly in
the database file, you can always ADD a new product to your
database by using this button. Try it! It is self explanatory!
UPLOAD PHOTO or FILE - If you have a graphic GIF file of the
product in your computer, just point and click to UPLOAD it.
EDIT OR DELETE - You can edit or delete any item in your
database.
C USER GUIDE - RETREIVING SALES LOG
The following links are most important. THEY REPORT YOUR SALES.
LOG
It is preset to show current- and previous-day activity.
You may enter any starting and ending date to see activity.
NEXT to each order number is A BLUE/RED button. Click on
it to see ORDER DETAIL.
LOG (secure) same as LOG except as follows:
Access is restricted to those whose
TopSecurityClearance field was set to "YES" in the
USERS table of your database.
It is more convenient for PRINTING OUT the daily sales.
It also reveals purchaser's credit card information
COPY AND DOWNLOAD (Optional - if a8-settings.txt was setup)
This downloads your complete database files using the web.
(You will be prompted for your NT UserName and Password
to your DownloadLog sub-directory.)
IMPORTANT, SEE SECTION 5 above: Don't forget to ask your ISP to
set up NT password protection for sub-directory "DownloadLog"
(Select a preferred USERNAME and PASSWORD for the NT access.)
D USER GUIDE - Your WHAT'S NEW Bulletin
"DELETE NEWS" button - To delete your NEWS BULLETIN,
this button deletes your a-news.htm file which resides in
your PHOTOS subdirectory.
NOTE To post a NEW news bulletin, create a a-news.htm
file and use the UPLOAD button to insert it. (It will
overide the old a-news.htm file.)
"PURGE TEST TRANSACTION" button - It is used for testing your website.
If you create a bogus transaction to test the website, the
transaction will appear in your log, alongside the valid ones.
This button will purge the bogus transaction
HERE is how to do it. When creating a bogus transaction,
enter the word "TESTING12" in the CITY field. the PURGE button will
identify such as being a bogus transaction and remove it when
clicked.

E USER GUIDE - PHOTOS
You may use .gif or jpg graphic files.
Scan at 72 lines per inch, and SAVE it in
2 sizes, LARGE and SMALL (for thumbnail), as follows:
PHOTO SIZES - To get you started, sizes were preset as follows:
LARGE gif, WIDTH=175 and HEIGHT=257 pixels
SMALL gif, WIDTH=51 and HEIGHT=75 pixels
The Default graphics, sample graphics and our sample website
use these sizes. If that is convenient, DON'T CHANGE things.
HOWEVER, if you prefer to change the graphics sizes, you
may, but then also change the settings in a1-settings.htm
SECTION B and resize the default graphics a-dafaultfull.gif
and a-defaultthumbnail in the PHOTOS subdirectory.
You can create a GIF with any scanner and any graphics
program. (I recommend Paint Shop Pro - approx $80.)
For simplicity, you may wish to name the SMALL
graphic SIMILAR to the LARGE graphic (you need not)
Example: Shoe.gif and Shoe-s.gif
or PIC123.gif and PIC123-s.gif
The graphic files are placed in the PHOTOS subdirectory.
To upload GIFS, use the UPLOAD button. It will open
your own directory. Just point to a GIF file and click.
(The NETSCAPE browser is strongly recommended.)
